KEY SOCIAL ISSUES
Social issues important to horticultural supply chains, governing the relationship between employer and employee, are normally managed by codes of practice and include:
| 1. | Right to the legal minimum or a liveable wage; |
| 2. | Restriction of child labour; |
| 3. | Prohibition of forced and bonded labour; |
| 4. | Rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining; |
| 5. | Health and safety in the workplace; |
| 6. | Equal remuneration for male and female workers; |
| 7. | Freedom from discrimination. |
