(1) International Fertilizer Development Centre:

  • IFDC is a public non-profit international organization, founded in 1974, and headquartered in Alabama, USA
  • IFDC produces technical bulletins on fertilizer requirements by crop, fertilizer use, environmental impact, fertilizer markets and constraints to use. These can be read on the website or obtained (some free of charge, some not) from the IFDC Publications Office, email address general@ifdc.org.
  • IFDC runs an Agribusiness Programme which 'promotes increases in agricultural production through cost-effective, environmentally sound strategies for supply, marketing and use of agricultural inputs'. The programme focuses particularly on:
