ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION GUIDELINES

Most horticultural exporting and importing companies take the Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines prepared by the World Bank Group (which includes the World Bank itself and the International Finance Corporation, IFC) as the foundation for their environmental assessments. These set out minimum standards for environmental impact of activities through all stages of the production, processing and marketing chain, which should be satisfied as part of project assessment.
