APPLICATION METHOD

Smallholders can apply fertilizer by hand close to the take-up point of the roots.

Fertilizers should be worked into the soil to avoid leaching or run-off
Large single doses should be avoided, as uptake is generally improved and leaching reduced when smaller doses are applied at intervals
