CONSUMERS WANT HEALTHY AND CONVENIENT FOODS

Health issues will remain an important factor in the promotion of fresh vegetables, but suppliers understand and compete on attributes such as taste, versatility and convenience. These are of key importance in an increasingly competitive food market. The prepared, added-value market (such as ready to eat, ready prepared, stir-fry mixes, washed salads, etc) will become more sophisticated in the short term as quality becomes more defined. Providing meal solutions and ideas for consumers will be an important part of this development.
