ADDING VALUE

  • There is a growing market for mixed packs of pre-prepared vegetables, which attract very high prices.
  • Preparation and packing should be done as close to the farms as possible, to maximise the proportion of the end value which returns to the grower.
  • Great care should be taken to avoid pollution or environmental damage which may result from downstream processing or packaging activities.
